This site contains technology information as well as music that I have worked on recently, and the not so distant past.
In the techlog section, you will will find tech postings, code snippets (Java/Unix/Database), and recommendations from a broad Unix based perspective. I support windows where applicable or by necessity, but not by choice.
Musically, you will find Mp3 downloads, links to purchase songs and or collections of songs as well as file downloads in WAV format, so you can make your own.
The music samples are just previews of what I've done in the past few years. If you like any of it, you can purchase one of my MP3 collections or CD's in the purchase section. For my latest offering, One Tribe, you can purchase it directly from the purchase section or from TuneCore. The work should be available through iTunes by 2011.
The music file downloads for drums were created in a variety of tools and were recorded live (for acoustic drum parts) or from my Roland VPro electronic drumset. I used a M-Audio firewire device to connect the VPro kit to my Macs which I have Ableton Live running. For the acoustic drum samples, I used a Slingerland Jazz kit (20" bass - 12" and 14" toms) and a Pearl Birch custom kit (22" bass - 12", 13" and 16" toms) using Zildjian K's and Rancan chinese cymbals. As for the synth file downloads, everything was done using Symsynth, and Ableton Live with various plugins
